Lawsuit Information
As of August 2021, more than 20,000 hernia mesh claims were pending in courts across the United States. These lawsuits against at least four hernia mesh makers are now in active litigation in both state and federal courts. In most cases, people filing these lawsuits needed multiple surgeries due to injuries from defective hernia mesh. Others experienced hernia recurrences or replaced now-recalled defective mesh with newer implants, many of which also failed.
